Director of IT – Dan Staffieri

Hey from computer land, my name is Dan Staffieri and I’m the IT Director for FCP Groton. I started my obsession with technology at the early age of 10. I would disassemble computers, TVs, and electronic toys just to see how things would work. Since then, I’ve been all about new and upcoming technologies. I come to FCP after working 10.5 years for Yale University as a systems administrator.
As IT Director, I’m in charge of bringing FCP to the next technological step. This also includes looking current system setups then predicting worst case scenarios before they happen. Other duties include: user systems admin, network admin, and server admin.
In my spare time, I like to game (WOW, HL2DM, Q3, COD, SC3, etc etc ..) , hanging out with friends & family, and lastly driving my heavily modified 2001 Ford Mustang Bullitt.
E-Commerce Catalog Development – Dave Greco
My name is David Greco, I’m a Website Catalog Manager for the new FCP Import site. I went to school for Digital Media and graduated in 2005, I have experience working on several Ecommerce websites. At my previous job I worked on Ecommerce home product websites, my main responsibilities included adding new products, site content, page layout and training new employees. I always considered myself a car enthusiast and have always been interested in modifying cars and working on cars. I currently drive a 2005 Nissan 350Z that I bought last year. My automotive knowledge is mainly focused around import vehicles but I have an interest in cars of just about every make. The position that I have at FCP Groton is perfect because I can use the knowledge that I have working on Ecommerce sites as well as my automotive knowledge. I’m looking forward to expanding the selection of parts on the FCP Import site and adding useful information to the site that will help our customer’s find the right parts.
Head Developer – Denis Ivanov
Ello
Name’s Denis Ivanov; I’m the developer. I am almost done with my Computer Science major at the Univeristy of Connecticut.
I’m one of the core people that serve as a catalyst for change at FCP Groton. Informally,I have extensive experience as a full-stack web developer. I was getting paid to work in high level web frameworks way back, before college. Over the course of the years I’ve done it all; writing robots to mine data online, designing sharp user interfaces, and optimizing my work for Google are all just some areas of my expertise.
Over the last few years I have been focusing on completely re-engineering the user interface that all of our customers face when shopping with us online. The ultimate goal for me is to build out the definitive car parts shopping platform to be used strictly internally at FCP and nowhere else. I want it to be intuitive, lightning-quick and dead accurate.
On a more personal note, I’m a hobbyist photographer [link: http://www.flickr.com/photos/jumph4x/sets/] and a driving fanatic. I use an older E36 sedan for commuting and have a Mercedes C36 AMG for local autocross and track club events.
