My name’s Jessica Bauer (yes, the sister of President Nick Bauer). I am the Creative Director at FCP; my work includes designing visually attractive interfaces and web pages (with the help of Denis of course), defining the FCP brand visual language, creating marketing and advertising materials, and pretty much anything else related to shaping the creative direction of the company.
I came aboard at FCP about 2 1/2 years ago in a totally unrelated field – I spent my first two years working as the Human Resources Manager. During that time I pursued some design work on the side, i.e.: creating flyers, catalogs, business cards, web banners etc., which ultimately led me to my current position. Prior to coming to FCP I was up in Boston for a while, which I am proud to say makes me the only Bauer that is a Sox fan. I went to Boston University where I studied Painting and Art History. After graduating I began working for Citizen Schools, an after-school program that focuses on expanding the learning day for children in low-income communities across the country. I left Citizen Schools (and Boston) to come to FCP and I have to say, it’s been a pretty exciting couple years thus far.
Outside of work, I like to get out of dodge for the weekends and visit friends in NYC and Boston. I also continue to pursue my own artwork on the side, which is currently mostly painting, drawing and printmaking.
