FCP’s Snabb Intakes are Up!

Snabb performance air intakes new to the FCP Euro website! A Snabb intake is a relatively cheap upgrade that will improve engine performance providing your Volvo with 5 to 10 extra horsepower and added torque with proper tuning. As an added benefit you’ll also notice improved gas mileage because of the superior free-flowing design of the metal intake tube. Believe it or not flow bench testing showed an impressive 21% increase over stock!

Any Volvo enthusiast should consider a Snabb intake kit to get the most out of your car every time you get behind the wheel. This intake will give the car a deeper more aggressive sound at wide open throttle making your Volvo even more of a joy to drive. The signature intake sound is pronounced as it takes in a much greater amount of air compared to stock.

The Snabb intake kit comes complete including a polished pipe with needed vacuum fittings, silicone elbow, silicone reducer and all the needed clamps for an air tight seal. The polished pipe will look great under your hood, overall a nice part to dress up the look of your engine bay. You’ll definitely notice a difference once you remove the restrictive factory setup and go with a fast but affordable Snabb intake on your ride.

This intake will be quick and easy to install, you’ll only need basic hand tools and no more than a half hour of your time. Many Snabb intake kits have been listed on FCP Euro for popular Volvo makes and models. If you don’t see a kit listed for your car or have any questions about our intake kits please feel free to give us a call 888.385.1276.

The Friggin Oil Light is on!

Our good friend Tony DaSilva had a little trouble a few days ago.  He’s stressed out, so we decided to let him vent a little.

The sun was out and the temperature was choice. It started out slowly, without me even noticing.

I’d turn the car on and the “maint reqd” light would flash at my face, only slightly and for 12 seconds, then stop abruptly.

But this morning, with the sun gleaming on my face and the windows dropped down, coffee in hand, the “maint reqd” light came back to life in solid form. Halfway across the Q-Bridge in New Haven this sorry excuse for a warning light decided to penetrate my morning with a good ol’ fashioned mental horse kick to my dome piece.

First off, I had no friggin’ idea what the hell the “maint reqd” light even meant for sure. To me, it obviously meant some kind of crap was wrong with my RAV4 after two weeks of ownership that forced a light to inject itself center stage onto my dashboard, right under the odometer reading, like a stage light shining down on me from the rafters.

I had to pull over.
