Jose is what I like to call an ATE, an All-Terrain Employee, he picks, he packs and he’s got a mom that makes awesome tomales. But aside from his culinary caregiver he’s also a car character.

He says he’s given his car too much already, but you know after talking to him he’s invested himself fully into finishing the project he started with $800 in may 2011.

The goal: convert his 1995 Volvo 850 Turbo car to a Volvo 850 R. He’s replaced the body panels, including but not limited to the spoiler and bumper and he’s currently moved on to the interior and engine bay.

He’s replaced the headliner and is currently working on swapping the seats out with genuine R seats. Then it’s the larger turbo and the new injectors.

He’s got the itch, and even though he says he’s given his car too much I don’t think he’s going to stop any time soon. Jose is awesome, no question, and we’re glad to have him helping us here at FCP.

Beautiful conversion! Though the R had Volans wheels
I have a Flame Red 96 that unfortunately has fallen into disrepair and I don’t have time to fix, and now have to get rid of. I loved that car though! Good luck with yours
